[ Reviewer ]I have a very real passion for music and all things Metal. I enjoyed my youth during the true metal years of the 1980's. I may be older than some or older than most, but the shows I have seen...And yes, I was there...the original Kiss Alive II tour with AC/DC and Bon Scott opening, the Van Halen II and Woman and Children First tours, Ozzy with Metallica opening on the Master Of Puppets tour, Rush on their Moving Pictures tour...Priest on the Defenders tour with Dokken, Dio on the Sacred Heart tour with Udo and Accept, Motley on the Girls tour with Whitesnake, Maiden on the (oh my God) Power Slave tour...I was fortunate enough to be there...to live and grow with metal during those hallowed formitive years. It will never be the same...ever... I also have played drums for just about 32 years and love to play live music. I have been in a few bands and the sound of the crowd still gives me goose bumps. If I could only be there again... |

Hey all, my name is Josh. I'm 24 and I'm from Kansas. Some of the biggest heavy metal influences on me would include watching Beavis & Butthead as a kid, Metallica's first four albums, Slayer's Reign in Blood, Opeth's Blackwater Park, Meshuggah's Chaosphere, and Lateralus by Tool. As far as non-metal stuff I enjoy, I like to watch movies and tv shows. TiVo is the greatest thing ever! |

Over the course of the past few years, I have worked in education. I taught at a rough alternative school in Kentucky for 5 years, that was my most interesting and rewarding job experience.
I have listened to heavy metal since I was six years old. I am always looking for a new band or a new extreme form of music to fix my desires. |

[Metal Reviewer] Hey what's up, My page Death8699.com originated some time ago at least 8-9 years - the exact date is irrelevant but it was created solely to support METAL not just reviews and interviews but guitar tabulatures done by myself when I was doing them and playing guitar excessively. Not to mention a plethora more (by permission) done by other tabbers. Well I've decided to quit guitar completely so I could focus on the site completely. "Death8699" is a screen name on AIM I've had for many years. I thought it was a good idea to coin my domain as this, especially since it sounded underground enough to be solely a METAL page for you viewers and free too!!! I have a webman now doing the site trying to get updates in about 3-4 times a month to keep it on the cutting edge for underground music. Since I gave up my position as webman for the site, the sections haven't changed much over the years - the core ones being METAL album reviews, METAL tabs, METAL interviews to name a few. My focus for the site has always been to spread the word about new underground bands just emerging or haven't gotten much publicity they deserve. We may include some more well known acts in the Media section but underground bands please feel free to send us your material to get posted on the site. My focus also has been to help guitarists learn songs from the METAL tabs posted either for their own private use or as a cover for bands wishing to use them. The tabulatures have been given the most attention right now text-only files but also Power Tabulatures will be included as well. Death8699.com rose from primitive web building and graphics to now such a sophisticated and electrifying plethora of fonts, colors, etc. From 2002-2003 updates began to decline as I involved myself in a marriage and child to which now has become a divorce despite my efforts to keep it alive. The updates really went down during those times but I still managed to get some updates in and win the Golden Web Award (2003-2004) to which I submitted my site for reviewing. Unfortunately, a ton of data was lost from my Yahoo servers and since then basically I had to start back from scratch. As I mentioned, I decided to give my web building duties over to a friend of many years, Mario Feegrade from India! I have been working to restore the information lost and the site will be up to support METAL for many years to come. Just be patient about the updates because RiO works crazy hours so be patient about seeing new material posted. Thanks to everyone in the past and present for your contributions to my site making it once again soon the best METAL resource site for all of you brutal and twisted viewers!!! Here's a little more info about the site, broken down into the different sections: Bands that we support/promote, especially new and upcoming ones, will be featured here. We'll try to include sample or full mp3's of the bands so you can decide whether you should buy their CD. If you have a band that shows promise, email mp3's and a link to the band's page. Reviews are either done by me or contributors to the site. Each review has specific details about the album besides just the reviewers' opinions. We encourage you to send us your reviews which we will add to the site. Tablature archive features guitar music in easy to read form for guitarists and bass players. Most are sole interpretations of a particular band's song, but some of which are actually official transcriptions done by the bands themselves. Please send me your transcriptions preferably in this format. Interviews are usually done by contributors to the site and responses are made by the band members themselves! Links includes a wide variety of websites that are related to music or related to areas that interest me. -|- Ryan Fanucchi (Death8699) -|- |

It was a cold day in late December 1976. The wind was howling, the snow was falling and I was 'a chargin' through Mrs. Ogle's vag-hole. When the birth ritual was completed, I carjacked the doctor and took the nurse to Vegas where I then spent the next 15 years running a brothel. After growing tired of that life (pimpin' ain't easy man), I moved to Central America where I wandered around the jungle, training the villagers in the ways of the Ninja and helped them overthrow their dictators. This pissed off the power hungry right-wing conservatives here in the ol' US of A and after Bush Sr. put a price on my head I had to hide out in Bea Arthur's twat for 9 horrendus months until the cast of Friends spoke on my behalf to the Senate and cleared my name. Ever since then, I have been living a semi-quiet life in Lawrence, KS, patiently awaiting my to hear from the celestial overlords from the Andromeda Galaxy. These beings are the basis of all religion and mythology. They visited our Earth eons ago and planted the seed for the human race so that we may heat up the planet for their cosmic sauna / day spa. GOOD JOB US!!! |
