| You people are disappointing. Before finding out that it was 21+, I was all "YYYYYYEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!" I can't wait until I tell that teacher at school who rather dislikes Yngwie Malmsteen what I'm missing... he'll laugh... -_-

That's because Yngwie has an ego the size of 10-15 school busses and then a small foreign car to give it extra weight..... =P

| Well... in that case, I'll quote the teacher. "If I woke up one morning and Yngwie Malmsteen was in my kitchen, I might get up and go down to look... then again, I'd probably bring something to whack him with... He's not that great, don't waste your money." That teacher was probably right.

BLASPHEMY! You guys are killing me here. In this case, I say judge the art, not the artist. Malmsteen is a god and created some of the most inspirational, exciting music in metal history.
As for the ages of the show, again, it's not our call. Sucks for us too, believe me, we'd rather all the shows were all ages, we usually lose a good 100 fans when those dreaded words "21 + older" are uttered. All we can do is let the venue know this. So, I say, be proactive, be constructive and effect change to your will. Call the venue and tell them you want to go to the Yngwie / Icarus show and that it should be all ages. 412.821.4447
And, no, your teacher is wrong & sounds like a jealous, bitter person to me. Usually people that have such strong opinions ("not that great!?" c'mon) are those who, at one point, wanted to be a rock star or at least a pro guitarist, and made some compromises in life. When you hear them rip out some Paganini caprices or Trilogy Suite OP:5 on a Fender Strat in your class, THEN, they can yap. Haha. Until then, I think a career spanning over 20 years and over 20 albums speaks for itself!

I couldn't care less about the other part of the bill, I would love just to have the chance to see the Witch live. Not too fond of Malmsteen. His music never did much for me. Atitudes are a part of every musician. Some good and some bad. He has a bad reputation but then again so does Eddie Van Halen, Ted Nugent (to some), Geoff Tate, Bruce Dickinson (again, to some, not me), etc. They are all pretty popular artists.

| I, for one, am filled with joy to see Icarus Witch picking up a few shows... and some high profile ones, as well.. To me, it's all about playing live... a band stays connected to their fans by always playing live as much as possible... This is most important after a good dose of fame is established by the band. Iron Maiden is a perfect example here. Most bands become popular and lose their grass roots following... because to those die hard fans, the band is no longer their little secret... BUT in Maiden's case.. They always kept the fan as their #1 priority... they have basically toured their asses off since the beginning... Ok.. I got on a tangent there... Sorry... Still great to see that Icarus Witch is picking up some shows... Hopefully, they'll find there way to Minneapolis or somewhere in my neck of the world... he he he

YEah, it is great to see some shows cropping up. And although I am not thrilled with Malmsteen many others are. He is VERY well known and a high profile dude. Should be great exposure.
