I know that when Hank left, he formed a more commercial band called Fate and they did not do too well. Now I know why. They fucking sucked! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FiGxTKeZqEY&search=fate%20I%20won%27t%20stop How do you go from writing a song like Satan's Fall to playing shit like this?! It's so cheesy, it makes Europe's The Final Countdown seem classy. If Mercyful Fate wasn't so great and he's such an amazing guitarist, this would be enough to erase him from the history of extreme and heavy metal!

Great band, King Diamond's vocals sealed the deal for me when I first heard Mercyful Fate. I actually liked Diamond's solo career though.

| Honestly, I don't think Mercyful Fate has a bad album. "Dead Again" is a bit clunky, but I still love it. Hell, MF's last album is where I get my handle. Still, my favorite MF release is "In the Shadows."

| Yeah, In The Shadows is a masterpiece. I love the style of that album too. Kinda like Fates Warning meets Annihilator's first two albums, but undoubtably Mercyful Fate. With that said, Melissa is my favorite. The final version of Satan's Fall is one of the best songs I've ever heard
