I will be seeing them live for the first time on the 30th. What do you mean they're not that exciting live?

| I'll try to answer that question. Basically, they play their music. They don't put on a show like Maiden. No running around, no flag waving, no giant inflatable monster emerging out of back stage. IMHO that's not a big deal but some fans would like a visual to go along with the audio. Opeth pretty much stood still and rocked the house. Different strokes....Of course, the venue I say them in was a small intimate club. A perfect atmosphere I think. The place was rumbling the entire show.

Definetly, the other bands other than Lamb of God are alright but Opeth and Megadeth are my main reasons for going.

I'll be honest, I don't know Opeth's music that well; I went to the show for AE and Megadeth. On a tour of that caliber, I expect all the bands to "fit the bill" and in my opinion Opeth just wasn't a good fit. All of their true fans seemed to enjoy their set, and I didn't dislike it, they just didn't mesh with the crowd that was drawn by this tour. Like Voodoo said, they don't put on a "show" and that's what I love about seeing new bands. If you're a loyal fan, you'll enjoy it!
