  1. Best instrumental.  When the Water Breaks by Liquid Tension Experiment.  There are tons of other great ones but I get chills listening to this song everytime.
  2. Best song to play at max volume on a world class stereo.  I guess it depends on my mood.  Right now, with the discussion of Queensryche O:MII, I will have to go back to O:MI and say Eyes of a Stranger.  Also possibly the best album closer of all time.
  3. Just the coolest song ever is....  Hmmm, maybe In My Time of Dying by Led Zeppelin.
  4. Name a band you never thought you would enjoy, but do now.  Opeth, hands down.  Hated them the first time I heard a song, Black Rose Immortal, I think.  What a crappy song, I thought, who the hell would listen to this $hit.  My how my feelings have changed.
  5. Name your favorite non-metal band or artist.  David Gray.

  1. Best instrumental. Being a Guitarist this is kinda tough .I have always Loved guitar instrumentals , but this question ASKS for Best Instrumental .... and that would have to be : Rush-YYZ (that whole song just shows great musicians doing what they do best .As far as guitarwise - I love "Cliffs of Dover " from Eric johnson ..
  2. Best song to play at max volume on a world class stereo. Man I'd crank the whole album !!LOL but I gotta go with Guns n Roses "welcome to the jungle "  I just love that song's Groove and when cranked Loud it rocks !!!
  3. Just the coolest song ever is....   Crazy Train - Randy Rhoads ...the riffs, the solo ,the song, the vocals ,  the chorus ALL add up to just a great song .
  4. Name a band you never thought you would enjoy, but do now.  Nickelback........That new album just totally freaked me out .. I thought they were just ballads and commercial sellouts ... but this new album has some really great riffs .. and songs .
  5. Name your favorite non-metal band or artist. hmm... lets see .. i like Los lonely boys .. thats not metal...lol

  1. Best instrumental.  I really like stuff by Apocalyptica, but a regular band instrumental..... Darkest Hour -Varitas Aequitas... it's got everything, solo's acoustic work, plus it's 9 minutes long
  2. Best song to play at max volume on a world class stereo. At this point in time, Kill The Music by Everytime I Die... this song is astounding
  3. Just the coolest song ever is....  NIN - Hurt
  4. Name a band you never thought you would enjoy, but do now. Misery Signals or Poison the Well... i hated Poison the Well the first time i ever heard them... now they're a personal favorite
  5. Name your favorite non-metal band or artist. Dallas Green of Alexisonfire. some seriously awesome singer songwriter stuff here... or maybe Jeff Buckley or Elliot Smith

I know we've never met and you'll probably never read this.
There are certain things your voice does to me, it makes me feel the ground
and sky again.
How sad it is when you spill your guts on the paper.
It only neglects you and never relieves.
In every corner and space I search for you,
I've only found your vocal cords.
Hate that I'm never certain of what needs what most.
All day your songs spin me into a romance repeatedly to the sky.
Scream over and over again repeatedly to the sky.
In every corner and space I search for you,
I've only found your vocal cords.
Hate that I'm never certain of what needs what most.

No booing from me. I didn't like Iron Maiden at first, either. In fact, that was my other choice besides Opeth for the answer to that question. And Dream Theater was also not too high on my list. Now I love all 3. Go figure.

And I also love classical music. Beethoven's Ninth symphony is probably the best peice of music ever written as far as I'm concerned. Good answers.
