Saffire

A hardrock/metal band from Gothenburg, Sweden. Our music is about bringing the essence of the great 70's and 80's in to todays modern Gothenburg sound and combine them with our own flavor.

In the ashes of the not-so-legendary funkrockband Red Belly Black, the idea of new band was formed by then drummer Victor and keyboardist Dino Zuzic. A band with a more heavy sound, influenced by both 70's type band and modern hardrock/metal. And Victor decided to put the drums on the shelf and pick up his old guitar instead since his head were filled with riffs and ideas for great songs.

After a bunch of auditions, the band came to life in 2006 when Martin Jonasson(vocals) and Magnus Carlsson(bass) decided to join the band. A drummer was also found in the shape of the grinding, blastbeating metalman Gustav Elowson, who played on the first demo in 2007. Gustav was in 2008 forced to leave the band due to other commitments. No despair though! Drummer Anton Roos was then handpicked to be his replacer and we were all happy that we had now found all the right guys for the band.

You can listen to our songs at:

or you can listen to our new single at Spotify by clicking this link:

Please, have a listen and tell us what you think!

Hope that you like what you hear! And hopefully, we'll see you on the road soon!

Cheers!
Peace!

Hehe!

We're as far away from the melodic death metal-scene as possible. We don't play death metal at all.
With the Gothenburg sound we mean sound, as far as it goes within production. Mixing and mastering the songs...

Peace dude!
