Well since I am still going on with the listing of the albums I am on "n's". Jammin to some Nile right now. This band is pretty sweet. I saw them three times. The first two I wasn't very impressed. But last time they ruled. There new album Annihilation of the Wicked is my favorite by far.
I also like the atmospheric parts in their music. The guitarist released an album that is all that egyptian atmospheric music. I should get that some time.

I've been meaning to check them out for a while now. Heard good things about them, and heard a couple songs on internet radio.

| I just picked up "Annihilation Of The Wicked" but have only given it a very crappy quick listen... It sounded insane, I can't wait to listen to it more closely.. I am unfamiliar with most of their previous works, so I'm looking forward to more posts in this topic.

| Karl Sander's Saurian Meditation is the atmospheric album. It sounds like if you took the metal out of Nile and just left the great middle eastern atmosphere. It's mostly middle eastern instruments and melodies with some melodic guitars and chanting/humming. It's an unbelievable release that I highly recommend to anyone. It's very relaxing. For Nile, my favorite is In Their Darkened Shrines with Annihilation Of The Wicked right behind it.

I definetly have to get Karl's album. I love relaxing music.
I also have some other Nile albums I can lay my opinions on. I have their album In the Beginning. Which is their first to EP's re-released. The Rames Bringer of War part rules. I also have In their Darkest Shrines which also is pretty good.

Nile is awesome. I really like all of their releases, but if I had to pick my favorite one it would be Annihilation of the Wicked mainly due to the fact of George's insane drumming.

| I like all of their albums a lot. Annihilation of the Wicked may be the best that they've done yet, the production is fantastic as well. Amongst the Catacombs of Nephren-Ka is also really good, I love the sound of that album even though the drums are heavily triggered. Amongst the Catacombs was the first brutal death metal album I ever owned, and I was not prepared for it! I thought it was terrible, but after a year and a half or so I started liking it, once I was into DM.
