I saw Anata just recently entered the studio.  Hopefully that release will make a worthy follow-up.  The same can be said for Augury, as Concealed was a personal favorite.

I'm not worried. Anata hasn't released anything short of excellent, and judging by what I have heard from Humanoid, the new Augury may exceed the brilliance of Concealed

What you used to love now, you're gonna adore. With Charmin Ultra, less is more. Cha Cha Cha, Charmin.

The "Hair Metal" post had me thinking:

I'm really looking forward to Chinese Democracy - if, indeed it is released this year.  The main reason is I really want to hear what took 10 years to write, record, rewrite, rerecord, and then record again.  Also, the three full-length GNR studio albums were flawless and the live bootlegs of supposed CD material sounds really strong.

Dismember - Dismember
Deicide - Till Death Do Us Part
Grave - Dominion VII
Testament - The Formation of Damnation

I'm a bit hesitant on the new Judas Priest.

Well, so far, I have heard nothing but good things about the Dismember, Grave, and Testament records.  I did listen to part of the Deicide album online and thought it was quite a bit of a letdown from The Stench of Redemption.  As for Judas Priest, I am in the same boat.....  hesitantly optimistic

The new Dismember is absolutely fantastic.

I'm posting a review on the new Deicide in a a few.

I've withing for the new Grave and haven't picked up the new Testament yet.

I'm not very optimistic on the new Judas Priest though.... I think it will suck. Could be wrong though!

I just read your review for the new Deicide album.  Great stuff!  To be honest, I was really looking forward to something that built off the wonderful use of melody on The Stench of Redemption. From the samples I heard of the new record, that definitely seemed be lacking.  I think your review has helped me understand the disconnect between those two records.  At any rate, I will probably end up picking up the record.  Should I send you the bill?

Nope!

Yeah, it's much more "brutal" than Stench and it gets a bit boring in places but after a few listens it sinks in. But it is rather shocking coming after Stench.
