| There now seems to be an explosion of bands on the metal scene in Australia............in the 90's we had a few well known bands around the local Australian scene such as Mortal Sin, Frozen Doberman,Armoured Angel,Massive Appendage & many others whose names have escaped me for the moment. But now Metal bands are coming out of the woodwork & are travelling the world & releasing cd's that are showing the world that Australian bands are not only there but are also pretty damn good. Bands such as Vanishing Point,Mortal Sin,Pain Division,Daysend & Frankenbok have released cd's as of late that make an old headbanger like me proud. U could do a lot worse then look up some Australian bands & have a listen.........i think u will be suprised. Frankenbok's new release "Murder of Songs" is worthy of a mention as something oversea's metalheads should seek out 4 a listen as it is positvely brutal.

I've heard of a couple of those bands. Most notably Vanishing point. I am ashamed to say I have not yet checked them out despite the good things I've been hearing.

Alchemist seems to be a fairly popular band from Australia

Alchemist are probably the best known & most popular metal band in Australia but there were so many other bands i left out of my post...............bloodduster,pod people as well as many others.
