Getting a NICE refund this year, plus the tax rebate checks due in May or June, thanks in large part to 3 kids. Not too shabby this year. Will be able to pay off some bills, pay for vacation, pay back the in-laws some of the money we owe them and even put some away.
The wife is actually talking about finally getting an HD tv so that might be arriving at casa de voodoo before too long, as well.

I envy the HD tv.  I got my refund about two weeks ago. This is the first year I haven't owed the fuckers any money. What a relief!

I was shocked when Mrs. voodoo suggested looking into getting the HDTV but I am NOT complaining.
By the way, I am "one of those fuckers". I work for the treasury but not the IRS.

i got my w2 a few weeks ago, so my dads helping me with this. my first taxes....man i remember when i was 15 and i made fun of you guys for having to pay taxes

| I usually have to pay back money too, and then listen to everyone else boast about their refunds... Hopefully it's not like that this year, but we'll see. I have a 50 in. Samsung DLP HDTV that I got about 6 months ago and it is awesome. It's really thin but not "LCD" or "Plasma" so it's not classified as a flatscreen, and therefore it was about half the price. I've got HD cable service, and I honestly hate watching my shows in non-HD now. If you do get a HDTV don't spend the $80 or whatever Best Buy will try to convince you to spend on Monster HDMI cables. I ordered some from http://www.monoprice.com after seeing the site mentioned in various forums and I'm really glad I used them.
