So, in addition to improving my overall health I am hoping to improve my job situation as well. Unfortunately there is no training money available at the moment through my job but as soon as it is I am going to sign up for as many classes as possible. I also applied for another job the other day, this one much closer to home. Salary would be equal to what I make now, as would the stability.

That's wonderful, voodoo! I'm so happy for you! Here's hoping things will improve quickly!

Update on the job thing. Had a conversation with my boss this morning about taking on more responsibility and to make a long story short I will be taking a team lead role starting tomorrow. It is not a promotion in the sense that I get a pay raise right now but what it does is give me leverage when the time comes for me to apply for a higher grade (I am in the federal government, and I am topped out as far as guaranteed promotions. For anything higher I have to apply as if it were a new job). So that is a good thing. I will have someone else helping out as a mentor-type since it will be my first foray into team lead/project management. I certainly don't mind it as it can only help my development.

Great news.  I've never been lucky to get a promotion.  If I want something akin to a promotion, I have to find a new job for a new company.

Thanks for the tips on tea. Haven't tried too many varieties but I'll give green tea shot.

As for breakfast, I am up at 4:40 in the morning to get out of my house by 5:20. No time for an actual breakfast.

Been drinking Lipton green tea with citrus. The citrus certainly makes it drinkable but I'm sure the addition of high fructose corn syrup is less than desirable. What brand of tea bags do you get, Jeremy?

While I am not Jeremy, I do recommend Celestial Seasonings.   The blueberry green tea is awesome.
