Since my old beloved metal vest fell apart, I bought myself a brand spankin' new denim jacket yesterday. I tore the patches off of my old jacket and set them aside for re-use. I don't know whether or not to sew on my old patches right away or wait for a while to shop around for different kinds of patches. By this Saturday, I will have saved up $20 to go shopping at the local metal store. Any and all ideas are much appreciated!

I've actually gone through this recently, and what I did was try to figure out what can go where in an effort to maximize the number of patches.  Of course, it always helps to have that big back patch on to figure out how to at least do the rest of the back.  I'd mix it up though, just for the heck of it.

BTW, I hope to have pics of the "project from hell" up soon.

Go with the back patch.  I have a Holy Diver patch, then a bunch of other ones.  I haven't added a patch in years though.

Your jackets look great, guys! I think I'll go for a back patch and distribute my smaller patches throughout the rest of the jacket. Thanks for your ideas!
