Hello, sorry for the delayed response. I'll have Quinn reply here since I'm sure you're looking for a 6 string reply. I know on this & previous Icarus Witch albums ESPs have been used for certain leads & seem to be real good for that. I've personally never owned an ESP bass, but I did have the bass POD for a couple days. It had great sounds but I had to take it back because it was just a bit of overkill. I rarely use effects and live, I pretty much just go direct to the board & my amp. But again, I know our last guitar player used Line 6 amps for sometime & had a pod for recording. There may have even been a few guitars on the album that went through the POD. I think a lead or 2 and some clean guitars.
Boss stomp boxes have always been my favorite. At one time or another I've owned Octave, Chorus, Synth, Compressor, Phaser (my personal fave) & many more. I also owned the big ref multi effect unit they made for bass, but again, sold it due to my very simple bass needs (compression & volume!).
I'll have Quinn add his 2 cents next time he's here at the Witch house, since he doesn't currently have email at his place.
