| Started thinking about this topic the other day while cranking some Hendrix. Jimi Hendrix seems to be most well known because of a few songs, although his catalogue is more varied than many might think. Songs like Purle Haze, Foxey Lady and Hey Joe, and maybe his cover version of Wild Thing, are what I might consider his signature songs. And by that I certainly do not mean "the best", only what the artist is most known for. Other examples would be Iron Maiden being known for Run to the Hills or The Number of the Beast; Dio is well known for Holy Diver (as far as solo stuff is concerned); Priest is most widely known for Breaking the Law or You've got Another Thing Coming; Queensryche is known for one album, Operation:Mindcrime and can't seem to shake it. What other examples can y'all think of? Maybe Dream Theater and Pull Me Under? Ozzy and Crazy Train? Sabbath (with Ozzy) and War Pigs, Iron Man and Paranoid?
As long as I got Rock n Roll I'm forever young
