My buddy recently started dating a girl who says like more time in 2 paragraphs than I say in 2 months. Due to the fact that he drags her around everywhere, I have to put up with the bullshit... It's getting to the point where me and him are now counting how many times this woman fucking says the word. I'm about ready to hang myself... either that or drag her out into the woods somewhere and put one between the eyes.

| pfft, I saw the words "like", "whatever", "and shit/stuff" and "you know" constantly. But "man" is probably the word I say the most. Especially in shorter conversations.

I don't enjoy hearing that word either. Sounds too "valley girl". Plus, the person using it looses a lot of creidbility due to the fact that the word usually adds nothing to the conversation or fails to solidify a point.

It's not really meant to add anything to the conversation. It may be somewhat redundant, unless you are using it for comparisons, or for your personal preferences (you don't like the word like), but it doesn't negate anything that people have to say.

I pick her up from work as an act of courtesy..
And it's always.. Lets bitch about work. (She works in food service)
Example: So like, my manager blahblah got on to me because, like, one of the cooks like, didn't get the food out fast enough. Like, I had to put up with all of his crap....
and it goes on... and.. on... and on.... and on... and on..... and by the time I drop her off I just chain-smoked half a pack and was about ready to drive the truck right into a telephone pole WITH THE AIRBAGS DISABLED!
