| I'm gonna go see them tonight with a friend...we're hoping to meet the Redemption dudes and if I get the chance to see Portnoy, I'm going to show him my tat. I think this will be my fifth time seeing them and I am totally stoked. This will be my second time seeing Into Eternity, but my fourth attempt. They'd better show up or I'm really going to question my luck with them. PUUUULL ME UNDER!

The show last night was great! We had really good seats, and Into Eternity and Redemption sounded great (though the crowd response was a little lacking). After Redemption's set, we met Nick Van Dyk and he boarded us onto Redemption's tour bus. Eventually Ray Alder showed up and we ended up drinking and hanging out with all of them. Soon the IE members got on the bus and I finally got to tell them my IE travel story. We hung out with both bands for the rest of the night, missing all of DT's set except for about two songs, which was fine with me. I saw what their setlist looked like for this tour and didn't really mind missing it.  As much fun as we had, one really embarrassing thing happened—I had to pee worse than I ever had in my life thanks to the beer, but not wanting to be the jerk who peed on the tour bus, I tried to hold it. I soon realized that wasn't gonna work. So I darted into the bathroom but couldn't find the light. I didn't care, though...like I said, I don't think I've ever had to pee worse. So there I was, doing my business as fast as I could, when all of a sudden the bathroom door starts to slide open. I think I said "hey!" and tried to close the door, but it just kept opening. The next thing I know, the tour manager was peeking his head in the door and started apologizing. As if me peeing on the Redemption bus in the dark wasn't bad enough, I noticed that I could see everybody sitting out there...which meant they could all see me. This was practically every member of Redemption and half of Into Eternity. So that was great. Other than the pee incident, we had a great night. It was totally surreal to be sitting on that bus and talking to those guys.

That is fucking hilarious!!!!  Great that you got to hang with the bands. Nick seems like a really cool dude, from what I can tell having never met the guy. Very jealous to say the least.
