Take This Life sounded like something a really good modern European death/thrash band would write. I hope that the rest of this album sounds as good.

The new In Flames album (Come Clarity) will be reviewed on LivingForMetal.com within the next couple of weeks... Just an FYI...

I've heard a few more good things about this cd in recent days. May not measure up to Colony or Clayman (their best IMHO) but should be far better than Soundtrack to Your Escape.

In Flames are going to tour with Nevermore and Evergrey in May!! I've seen Nevermore and In Flames before but I didn't see Evergrey yet. I wanted to a couple of years ago with Bodom and Iced Earth but all the shows sold out right away.

| In my opinion the best thing they did was the Subterranean EP, followed by Lunar Strain. The Jester Race is a great album too. I never liked Whoracle, Colony was good but it lacked any sort of heavy edge to it. I also think Anders Fridens vocals are not very strong. I've never bothered to listen to anything after Colony. I've heard Clayman, it didn't make an impression on me, and all the songs I've heard from the three following albums were terrible. Dark Tranquillity is by far the better band. Their entire catalogue is solid and they have always been more ambitious songwriters.

Continued from the Deicide thread... I personally like Whoracle and Colony the best, though I'm also getting into Jester Race. I guess I prefer the really melodic stuff to the heavier stuff. Lunar Strain was alright, and I've never been a big Clayman fan...though I do like Reroute. Didn't like Soundtrack at all, and Come Clarity is pretty good, but I have to be in the mood for it.
