They're great albums, but I wouldn't put them in the same league of excellence as Cynic.

Everyone mentioned 'newer era' Pestilence - with Patrick Mameli on vocals (from 1991- Testimony Of The Ancients), but almost nothing was related to Martin Van Drunen - the best voice, in my opinion. I personally like the 1987-1990 era best, especially the Consuming Impulse album. Heck, they're all masterpieces.
