I do like what I have heard of Katatonia so far.  So I guess, like queen diamond, my doom cherry has been massaged and is ready to burst.

That sounds sooooo dirty and wrong.

I could have sworn I had a My Dying Bride album at one point in time, but I was thinking of Virgin Black.  I had Elegant...and Dying for a few months, listened to it a couple of times and then sold it.  Now I'm kind of regretting that.

And back to the topic at hand, I'm sure I would probably like My Dying Bride, though I know nothing about them.  I've been listening to a lot of different stuff lately now that I've finally thrown my Nick Lachey CD away.

Too bad it wasn't Nick Lachey himself that you threw away.  The only good thing he ever did was Jessica Simpson.

Jessica Simpson is fucking nasty

What you used to love now, you're gonna adore. With Charmin Ultra, less is more. Cha Cha Cha, Charmin.

My Dying Bride kicks ass. love Turn Loose the Swans and Sinamorita

and Katatonia may be a goth metal band, but they still kick ass

There's nothing else in all the world
That will bring it down
We will play our wildest step to all around
We need it as a liquid in our veins instead of blood

Heavy Metal is the law that keeps us all united free
A law that shatters earth and hell
Heavy Metal can't be beaten by any dynasty
We're all wizards fightin' with our spell

I have their first and enjoy it when the right mood strikes me, which is probably necessary for all doom metal.  My Dying Bride incorporate just enough of a Gothic element to make them listenable for me.  Straight up doom metal, i.e., Trouble, St. Vitus, etc., do little for me.  I will give them another shot someday, I suppose.
