Deicide, Death Metal kings. With their first three albums being hailed as classics, their sophmore album "Legion" getting the most attention, Deicide has since fallen from grace. Releasing albums that are pretty watered down. After kicking out the brother's Hoffman (guitars) and replacing them with Jack Own (ex Cannibal Corpse) and Ralph (ex Death, Iced Earth) they unleashed a new album "The Stench of Redemption" which I feel is a fitting title. They have done more than climb back to greatness. THey have writtten their best album to date, which is rare considering how long they've been around. This rivals even Legion. Jack and Ralph bring more to the table than Brian or Eric Hoffman had in years. Steve and Glen also sound recharged. It is my favorite album to be released in 2006 so far. New Iron Maiden isn't out in the US yet, so i'm not sure how long this will last but I feel they have redeemed themselves and then some. What do you guys think?

I heard a few of the songs off of it, it sounds really good actually. I'm not even the biggest Deicide fan really. Although I did really like Scars of The Cruicifix. The only thing I dislike about Deicide is Glen Benton. If Deicide had Corpsegrinder doing vocals and Steve DiGeorgio playing bass, I'm salivating a little.

Glen Benton.....yeah he can get old. The only albums he has done vocal wise that I never get tired of his vocas are Deicide's Legion and The Stench of Redemption and Vital Remain's Dechristianize. Three albums that I love.
