This computer is the best for downloading and listening to your fav Heavy Metal Music also is a Great Machiene to use if you are a recording Artist There is Zero Latency thats right 0 so if you are jamming on your guitar and recording your tune the second you hit the string its on the computer changed from Analog to Digital with awsome Quality. Sweet... although I must admit... The Apple products are unknown to me... I've seen the incredibly good looking laptops (jealous)... and of course the iPod is a huge hit...
How about applications? Are more and more applications being developed for the osX platform? That has always been the drawback... especially in the business world where software compatibility is crucial..
Thanks for the info... I must be checking out this machine... I was actually being very annoyed by my systems latency this afternoon... arrrghhhhh

The Applications For this computer are quite good Flash Mx Pro And Dream Weaver And Fire Works Make exellent programs for making movies and andimations and with sound master pro sound files are great. Though Safarie Is Abit slow for an internet Browzer Its newest version will be better. And if need be a number of apps from windows can be used on macs like all Microsoft Office Programs and internet Explorer. I Movie and Garage Bang Are also Great Apps to You can make sound files with garage band and put them to your movie and with jam pack which is an upgrade for garage band you increase your sound sample library by 15000 different music clips.

Damn.. apple.com here I come 
I'm currently using an HP/Compaq nx7000 notebook, with the wide 15.4" screen... 1 gig of ram.. big harddrive... external 19" Viewsonic flat screen... burner... dvd... sd slots... wireless 802.11g...
Overall, I'm happy with this laptop... I don't think I could go back to the non-wide screen laptops...

That Sounds like a sweet PC but wit my next 2 pay cheqs ill be getting 17 inch wide screen apple Laptop with a built in wireless link and a few other goodies but im getting a 160 gig hard drive insted of the 120gig so i can store all my games and Metal music.
