Ok, I'm really liking the Anubis Gate and what I've heard from Silent Force. I also jammed some Luca Turilli today. Anyone heard Avalanch? I like them a lot.

yeah, Anubis Gate is really great. both their albums are fantastic. and i think they will release a new album this year..

Of those mentioned, I've heard Running Wild, Omen, Lethal, Brainstorm and Primal Fear...I'll be on the lookout for more from these guys. I'll have to check out the rest. Thanks guys. :D

Silent Force is my favorite. Perhaps of all current bands, not just power. Excellent musicians, freak-of-nature vocals with DC Cooper, bad-ass songs. You can't go wrong.

Also, Excalion, Machine Men, Manticora, Savage Circus, Persuader and Twilightning. I know there are plenty of others, but those came to mind first, and I didn't want to duplicate what has already been said.

Try Brainstorm, Symphorce, Primal Fear, and Dark Empire. Those are some of the ones off the top of my head.

Go on eBay, and look for albums (cassettes are cheaper, and you can get them in lots, which is what I do sometimes) from bands like Liege Lord, Agent Steel, Asgard, Running Wild, Omen, Nasty Savage, Lethal, Vicious Rumors etc

Mmm-kay, power metal connoisseurs. Recommend me some good stuff! I like Symphony X, Evergrey, Labyrinth, Rhapsody, Blind Guardian, Crescent Shield, etc. I like some of the really over the top stuff, but I'm also into the more traditional sounding metal as well.

So...who should I check out?
