I definitely love watching movies and figured this thread could be used to generate some discussions. Let everyone know what you have watched...

I am a big fan of the horror genre and recently watched a French horror movie called Inside. Basically, the movie revolves around a woman's attempt to remove a baby from another woman. A fantastic minimalist-style horror movie with plenty of blood and intensity. A must watch for any fan of the horror genre!

freecreditreport scam

Usually something that's "free" takes a liberal spin on that word.

I'm sure you've all seen the commercials for freecreditreport.com. Well before I got my apartment, I used that website. It turns out that your first report is free, but there's a monthly fee afterwards for basically no useful service that I can tell. They don't make the fee clear at all. They ask for your bank account number, which seems reasonable since they're checking your credit, but that's also how they automatically get their money every month without flat-out alerting you that you're paying them. The bill appears on bank statements as "CIC Triple Advantage" so it's not immediately associated with the freecreditreport.com website.

So basically I've gotten scammed out of $12.00 a month for the last 6 or 7 months.

I did a search for CIC Triple Advantage today and came up with a huge string of forum posts from tons of people who've had the same experience, and supposedly to even try to cancel you have to go through a 30 minute phone ordeal arguing with some foreigner about whether or not you really want to cancel. There was actually a post I read from someone that said the $12.00 fee caused them to overdraft so they ended up with a $30.00 fine from the bank on top of it. Anyhow... It's highly unlikely that I will get any of my money that I already spent back. I filed a complaint with the FTC and supposedly there's already been thousands of other complaints to the FTC and better business bureau. Whether that will result in anything is unclear.

Anyhow... my point is that if you've haven't used that site, don't and if you have, check your bank statement for CIC Triple Advantage.

Just wanted to share this song and see what ya’ll think. Heard from some friends at umgd that two of the members are from System of a Down, but this song sounds more rock and less what I’m used to hearing when they’re with SOAD., but still… Good stuff! I can't find a job!!!!!

I can't find a job. So far, I've applied to six places. Four aren't hiring, and two of them didn't hire me because I don't have work experience.

My only limitations:
-I can't work in restaurants that serve beef and pork. Whenever I ovulate, I get nauseous and dizzy in the presence of beef and pork being cooked. Obviously, I can't stumble around work or end up turning break time into a two-hour nap before I get woken up and yelled at.
-I'm not allowed to work at convenience stores because those get robbed.
-I'm not allowed to work delivering any food in case the home-owner decides to rape me.

Only the former has the potential to change. I'm going to the doctor on Tuesday and will discuss my problem with her. I've had this for over two years and it keeps getting worse and worse each month.

Any ideas?

Close encounter with a fire extinguisher

On my way home from work today I was waiting at a stop light to turn left when a fire truck was coming from the direction I was about to turn. Well it took the right turn a little too fast and a fire extinguisher came flying off and rolled kinda fast towards my car. It hit underneath my car then rolled to the car next to me and logged under the tire. The guy next to me got out of his to dislodge it and it sounded like it was open. It was hissing, sorta. Surprisingly the guy put the extinguisher in his car! I would be afraid the thing would explode or something.

Luckily my car has no damage, but it was kinda scary seeing this thing come at my car like that.

I got my license!!!!!!

My grandmother passed away

She passed away late last night, She was 92 I think and was fading fast and in a lot of pain. Apparently she was needing morphine quite frequently. I don't have all the details yet. She was the only grandparent I ever knew. My fathers dad died back in the 50's and both of my mom's parents died in the late 60's.

Tampa Bay's 10 talked to the assistant superintendent with the Pasco County School District who said it wasn't just the wizardry and that Picular had other performance issues, including "not following lesson plans" and allowing students to play on unapproved computers.

Piculas said he knew nothing about the accusations.

"That... I think was embellished after the fact to try to cover what initially what they were saying to me," he said.

After the magic trick, Rushe's principal requested Piculas be dismissed. Now, Piculas believes the incident may have bewitched his ability to get a job anywhere else.

"I still have no idea what my discipline involves because I've never received anything from the school district actually saying what it entails," said Piculas.

As a substitute teacher, the Pasco County School District considers Piculas to be an "at will employee." That means the district doesn't need to have cause for not bringing him back at all.

It seems I am always having incidents while driving. Not accidents, but something always happens when I am driving and I swear I am not at fault.

On my way home from I had to make a left turn. There are 2 lanes to make a left turn from. The truck in front of me was in the right lane of the 2 and I was in the left lane, slightly behind. The car that was in front of the truck was moving pretty slowly so started to move ahead of the truck. I guess the rules of the road don't apply to some drivers as they do to me, because that damn truck cut me off and almost ran me into the curb. So I did what every red-blooded American would do - I honked my horn a lot and flashed my high beams to let this neanderthal know that he cut me off and I was not appreciative. When we get to the red light this guy opens his door and gestures to me something like "you wanna come over here and say that?". Now, I am not a violent person and he probably could have done some damage so I just kept my high beams on his face and locked my doors. He got back in his truck and moved along when the light turned green.

THEN, as we both made the left turn he slowed down and moved over a lane so I would get right beside him. He leaned out his window and gave me the finger before moving over another lane to take another exit. Of course he almost ran into the back of another car when he did that because he was paying attention to me and not the road. Oh, that would have been a sweet sight if he caused an accident.

So, in conclusion, this is just another episode where bad drivers seem to come out of the woodwork when I am on the road. And the worst part is, I usually get yelled at by the idiot causing the problem. I get cut off, they give me the finger or say "F-U!" Some lady blocks an intersection and I honk the horn to let her know that she is blocking the road, she rolls her window and and cusses me out. I must have a sign somewhere that I don't see.

Tonight on Encore the movie The Last Dragon was shown. It came out in '85. I loved it way back then and it is still awesome today. It was terribly acted, poorly written and just so bad it was funny. It was about a guy from the hood who was into martial arts and he goes on a quest to find out "who is the MASTER!" Along the way he meets a hottie, sorta hooks up then has to save her from the evil guy trying to take over a stupid local TV show, or something like that.

Great movie, but so bad at the same time.

Driver Test Failure :-(

I just failed my second driver test. If I fail a third time, I must renew my permit and wait six months before I can take it again.

I failed my first time because I didn't know what or where my three-way flashers were. I failed this time because when parallel parking, I went too fast and ran over the "curb." I got parallel parking down-pat last time.

I think I know my problems:
1. My family went to Florida over the weekend, and I needed that time to practice driving. My learner's permit isn't good outside of Pennsylvania, so I would have had to break some serious laws to practice there. Besides, the only driving we did was to the airport and back.
2. The examiner made me nervous. I did almost perfectly with another examiner the first time. Other kids have reported that this particular examiner makes them nervous, too.

I'm so mad. I have shitloads of homework to do tonight, all marred with anger. Oh well.

On a lighter note, I've been on LFM for two years!

I'm getting 10.5 million dollars!!!!!

I hate when fucking stupid ass people in this school do not respect the Pledge of Allegiance. In my first period class there are kids who wont stand up unless a teacher forces them too, which is sad in my opinion. You live in a country that offers so much more freedom than other countries, and you can't be thankful enough to stand for less than the minute it takes to say the pledge? Get the fuck out of this country then.

I realize not everyone is very patriotic, but damn at least stand when they say the pledge and recognize your freedom to not be patriotic.

Seriously, disrespectful pieces of shit we have in this school. It makes me sick. If you're going to live in this country and exercise your rights at least stand for the pledge without looking bored and annoyed by the fact you have to stand for the pledge.
