A Finnish band that understands the beauty of music played with sorrow and despair. Slow to medium paced thick and sludgy riffs that reek of gloom. Take a dash of old Paradise Lost, sprinkle in some My Dying Bride but only heavier (if you can imagine that) and add to that some of the most over the top death metal vocals and you've got Swallow The Sun. I can not recommend this band enough. Nothing "gothic" about this band, just pure gloom and doom. Their new album "Hope" should be out sometime this summer, but they have 2 other albums out now...."The Morning Never Came" (killer title!!) and Ghosts Of Lost.
