Bugs around the site

I guess we've all noticed a few bugs around here lately, so I decided to make a thread for them.
One bug I've noticed lately is a bug that displays that any member who signs on during a certain period of time never signs off- which leads to the huge lists of people currently "online." It seems to clear out every few days, but it gets really annoying.
Can this be fixed, and if so, how?

I noticed that when you go under the band lists you guys dont have running wild...i was wondering if you could possibly add them to your site.

or, if it's ok, I'd like to do it! i love running wild! i can do all that...

maybe you can have a quick reply box at the bottom of every forum? that way people can respond faster. i just thought tht would be a cool idea for the site

Site Issues

I just wanted to let eveyone know why LivingForMetal.com has been really slow and/or unavailable over the last day or two. The web hosting company that hosts LFM is experiencing a DOS (Denial Of Service) attack, on a very large scale, which causes all their internet bandwidth to be utilized. This is why the site is sometimes unavailable or very slow.

They are working on the problem & hopefully it will be resolved soon.

Quoting with Mozilla browsers

Currently, "quoting" with a Mozilla browser (Firefox & Netscape) isn't working very well. It doesn't wrap the quoted text in the nice bordered box and makes it hard to read...IE works fine.

I'm working with the Forum Software Vendor on this annoying little bug.

I'll be fixing bad quotes as I see them.

Member Level Wording

Hi all,

When you post in this forum... your 'member level' is indicated within the post. This member level is determined by how many posts you have made.

I need some help. What should the different member levels be called?

Here are the current member levels :

Newbie (0 to 9 posts)
Junior Member (10 to 24 posts)
Metalhead (25 to 99 posts)
Metalgod (100 to 199 posts)
Supreme Being (200 posts and up)

So, what are your suggestions in regard to these member levels?

P.S. Feel free to comment on the amount of posts associated with the member levels.

P.S. #2 I like the last 3, but the first 2 should definitely be changed.

Bare, I believe I already sent you a private message about this issue, but I was wondering if anyone else had noticed it either.
Anywho, whenever I try to upload an avatar (it doesn't matter whether it's from my hard drive or a URL), I get an error message. Included in that error message:

Exception Type: System.IO.IOException
Exception Message: There is not enough space on the disk.

I was wondering if they were referring to the disk on my computer or if it's a problem with LFM. Thanks!

Website features and suggestions

Here is a list of currently available website features... If you would be so kind, could you offer suggsetions in regard to these features (modify them? enhance them?)... and if you have any cool features that you think should be added to the website... please post those as well..

The metal news items are actually contained within the forum ([url=http://www.livingformetal.com/forum/Forum2-1.aspx]here[/url]), but there is a page on the website ([url=http://www.livingformetal.com/metalnews/metalnews.aspx]here[/url]) that makes it much easier and quicker to view the metal news items. It even allows you to see user replies and to post your own reply if your logged in.

[b]User Ratings (Reviews)[/b]
When viewing a review and you are logged in to the site... you can give your own rating!! (You can only do this once). From that moment on, your rating will be added to the User Rating List on the right side of the review page. Also, when logged into the site you'll see a 'MyRatings' link in your user panel (upper right on main website pages)... This link will bring you to a page where all of your User Ratings are listed (just so you can view your rating history).

Here are a couple of thoughts for enhancing the User Rating feature... No that the user ratings are being received by the website.. How can we further use this data???

1, Would there be a cool way to find other users that have given similar ratings compared to your ratings?
2. Top 20 list of User Ratings?
3. and of course to actually compile a team of writers to populate the review section.

Let me know your thoughts on these existing features... and by all means offer suggestions for new features... I'd appreciate the feedback very much..

Editing a message in the news section

So, once I get to a point where I want to get rid of some private messages, do I move them to the deleted folder, and then how do I get rid of them?
