From MA, but right now I'm at school in Providence, RI<BR>3. What got you into Metal? I started with some pretty terrible nu-metal in '99, soon moved on to Sepultura, Machine Head, and Fear Factory, and continued on from there.<BR>4. Your first metal album? It was probably something like Fear Factory's "Obsolete". <BR>5. Genres I prefer? I'm mainly into death metal/grind, and lately some more experimental stuff. <BR>6. Bands I prefer? Currently Suffocation, Neurosis, Porcupine Tree, Napalm Death, Burst, Isis, and Nile come to mind. <BR>7. Things I love? Finding new music that expands my mind, talking about music as well as playing it, eating good food (especially thai food), my girlfriend, coffee. <BR>8. Things I hate? In terms of metal: the narrowmindedness of much of the metal community, stereotypes about metal fans. Otherwise: the shitty condition of most of the world and the futility of trying to improve it, bigoted people and general assholes, dunkin donuts with their damn flavor shots, Anchorman.<BR>9. Favorite concert you've attended? The second and third time I saw Porcupine Tree (not the first because I had never heard them yet), a beautiful and powerful live performance both times. On the other end of the spectrum, you really can't beat Suffocation. <BR>10. Your Non-Metal interests? the piano, trying to become more knowledgable in other areas of music especially jazz and some classical, and although it reveals my nerdiness, i'm really interested in theoretical physics, human behavior/ human psychology, thinking about religion (although i don't like it), and learning about math/engineering, which is what I'm at school for.
