3. What got you into Metal? - I was very much into rap when I was in middle school, but I later realizied it was just to fake for me I needed music that I could relate to and that made sense to me.

5. Genres I prefer? - All types metal is metal.
6. Bands I prefer? - Disturbed, Slipknot, Sanctity, Lamb Of God, Mushroomhead, the list goes on forever.

8. Things I hate? - People who just judge and never understand.
9. Favorite concert you've attended? - Hopefully Mayhem Festival which is coming up.

A friend's older brother gave me Metallica's Master of Puppets. However, Pantera was the band pushed me over the top and made it a full out obsession.

4. Your first metal album?
Metallica's Master of puppets

5. Genres I prefer?
Anything and everything, with the exception of traditional black metal. It's all just bees in a jar, IMO.

6. Bands I prefer?
Really depends on the genre. Among my all-time favorites, though, are Death, Isis, Arcturus, Virgin Black, Therion, Primordial, Moonsorrow, Zero Hour, and some other prog and power metal stuff... (don't worry, don't worry I'm not another Opeth fanatic)

7. Things I love?
Good friends, good food, and good times!

8. Things I hate?
People who must be "kvit" all the time, people who talk shit on forums (don't bring that my way), people who are close minded, stubbed toes, and other stuff...

9. Favorite concert you've attended?
Gwar may not have great music, but that live show is un-FUCKABLE with!

Sports, movies, reading (mainly fiction), hanging with friends and family, and other stuff...

My name is Jon. I am 20 and live in New Jersey about 5 minutes from the Starland Ballroom. I am a HUGE metal fan. Doesnt matter what Genre or what style, if its good music I will enjoy it. My first metal album that I heard was probably Guns and Roses - Appetite for Destruction. I sneaked it from my dad when I was 8 years old just to listen to Paradise City and Welcome to the Jungle. Grew from there. The first album I bought was Metallica - Kill Em All. I heard Cliff Burton and immediately took up bass.

To get a bit more in depth in my listening... I tend to listen to a lot of black metal and a whole heaping load of traditional metal. Maybe a weird combo? I don't know. Though I like a lot of death metal, doom and power metal also. Bands: Manowar, and Negura Bunget. Opeth, Heathen, Death, Suffocation, Drudkh, Burzum, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Iced Earth. Recently: Iniquity (Serenadium = pure death metal masterpiece), Icarus Witch, Zuriaake, Znowhite / Cyclone Temple (Ian Tafoya is amazing! TO THE LAST BREATH!!!!) Sunn o))), Earth - (I absolutely love Hex and Hibernaculum)

The best metal concert I have ever attended would either be Iced Earth or Iron Maiden when they played with Motorhead and Dio. Both shows made me cry. So awesome. The Iced Earth show was RIGHT after Barlow left and Ripper Owens filled in. He did a great job with the classic material. Its a shame that the newer stuff hasn't been nearly as good as the older IE records. I also have played a bunch of shows with my band, Arctic Flame. Highlights would include playing Keep It True VII in Germany - awesome crowd - and a lot of the recent shows we've done at home. Especially the two shows with Doro when we had some really crazy metalheads in the audience enjoying every moment. Check us out at www.arcticflamemetal.com!

I also frequent the Metal archives forum as well as the Zero Tolerance Magazine forum. I am also interested in possibly writing reviews. I have done a bunch for Metal Archives in my free time but I would like somewhere else to submit them to also. A website like this one would be a great place to start.

i'm from leeds, i run the raw nerve promotions website, i play in a grind band called Reth, and also do ambient, weird and noise projects called Incandescence, and Cerebral Constriction, as well as a few other bits and pieces (links will follow), i also used to be in a few different bands that some of you might have heard of (canvas, tangaroa and narcosis)
i'm mostly into death, grind, black, extreme metal, but a nice bit of -core, ambient, drum n bass, prog, classical and jazz also arrives on my cd player from time to time. main bands are meshuggah, necrophagist, botch, beneath the massacre, origin, enslaved, emperor, sleep terror, executive distraction tasks, king crimson, millions more...

3. What got you into Metal? I'd say Metallica back when I was 15 I loved the guitar that's what got me into playing in the first place.

3. What got you into Metal? Long story, but in the end it was a chance meeting with VH1's Metal Month in 2006.
4. Your first metal album? Judas Priest Metal Works 73-93 and Iron Maiden's Best of the Beast
5. Genres I prefer? At first I was into just Heavy Metal and Power Metal, but I've got a fever for Thrash and NWOBHM now, plus I think I'm coming down with some Black Metal. I dunno.
6. Bands I prefer? Kreator, Judas Priest, Venom (my favorite), 3 Inches of Blood, Black Sabbath (Dio), Dio, Children of Bodom
7. Things I love? Wrestling, I'm a HUGE wrestling fan and have since 1996 and my family.

1. How old are you? - I am currently 16 but will be 17 on Aug 29
2. Where do you live? - I live in Puyallup
3. What got you into Metal? - Well I always have loved metal...it started with listening to Quiet Riot on the radio, then I got my first Stryper album, and then last year my friend Tony lent me Metallica's Kill 'Em All. After that, my other friend Clinton gave me Iced Earth's Something Wicked....so yeah I've been a metalhead most my life....
4. Your first metal album? - My first metal album that was given to me was Stryper's To Hell With The Devil. A year or two ago I bought Probot's self-titled album.
5. Genres I prefer? - My favorite type of metal is Progressive/Power. But I like Thrash, Black, Christian, Death, just a little bit of Glam, Sludge and Speed. Other than metal I like blues and rock, and a bit of country
