I don't dislike them...yet; I'm just very disappointed in the latest album and their latest perfomances.

As the Palaces Burn is an awesome album, and then Ashes was pretty good but something was missing, and now Sacrement is just....a big turd. I find it difficult not to give it a fair chance and I'm trying very hard to keep an open mind, but it'll never compare to Palaces. The older Burn the Priest stuff is so much heavier. I think they chose the wrong path, that's all. And they've screwed up on stage the last two times I saw them live...this year.

wow... i hadn't realized that so many people disliked this band... I haven't really listened to sacrament yet. I did find that ashes of the wake has started to grow a little stale, but it's still a solid album.

Have you listened to their older albums? Compared to their older albums 'Sacrement' is a piece of shit, in my opinion. I truly don't understand the whole Slayer comparison either though. Especially 'Sacrement'; I think it sounds more like Pantera than anything else.

I saw God Forbid in concert, and they put on a good live show, but I've never listened to any of their albums. Any suggestions?

I agree with the whole Slayer thing. They're just not on Slayers level. Plus the mtv2 dickweeds also call As I Lay Dying metal and Mastodon br00tal. So I don't take their bullshit seriously.

I enjoy Burn the Priest and the first two LOG albums but the latest was a total disappointment. They're going down the stupid metal path and they have more potential than that. It's kind of sad, really. Music for the rubes. The last show I saw was an utter disappointment too. They screwed up and skipped an entire verse of one song and then stumbled through the rest of the song as they looked at one another like, wtf!? And I don't enjoy politics in my metal, but that's just my preference. I would never compare them to Slayer, but a Pantera wanna-be is very fitting.

Yeah, I just can't stand them, or the fact that they get compared to Slayer. Metalcore as a whole is just so generic and poor. I liekd the Blabbermouth comment you made. It can get fucking immature on that site alot of times.
