My favorite of all time is probably a tie between Poison The Well - You Come Before You and From Autumn to Ashes - Too Bad YOu're Beautiful.

+\- is a mathcore\metal\post-hardcore band from Kiev, Ukraine.
Five-pieces band was formed in 2005 and at first was named "Neirula".
Evenrually a solid lineup was formed with vocalist Egor, guitarist Yura, guitarist Ilya, bassist Maksim and drummer Tolik.
In early 2007 +\- recorded their first demo after that fest Tolik left +\- to pursue his career in blues\pop music. Later (in May) he was replaced by Slavik (Lito, False Effect). In such lineup the band appears on Red Alert (Evpatoria) and makes gigs in Poltava, Harkov, Lviv, Kyiv and Moscow.
On May, 7th, 2008 on label Moon Records comes debut release of group under the name "+ \-ЕР".

I wasn't sure where to put this one and so I went under their album description which has the first two as Death Metal...if you don't feel that Trivium is Death Metal then feel free to move this one. :)

Now on to my question: What is it that most people dislike about Trivium? I've heard them referred to as a Metallica tribute band, a few metal sites I go on for album reviews don't have them rated with an average over 70% (usually below 60% :(). I haven't listened to a Trivium album, but wanted to know what do you dislike (or like) about them.

Not sure if this is the right forum for it but here it goes. I have been getting into bands like Soilwork, Mnemic, and Strapping Young Lad new In Flames, Fear Factory etc.. Kind of metalcore with the industrial feel. Can't seem to get enough of it. I used to hate this genre of metal but its growing on me. I'm catching a lot of slack from my friends who call me a poser for liking these bands (or not "true"). Oh well I like what I like.

Behind Enemy Lines

In August 2005, I found an album titled "The Global Cannibal" by a metal/punk/hardcore group called Behind Enemy Lines. I listened to it and liked their political views (almost radically liberal) and hard, angry sound. This Saturday night, I will attend a show of theirs. Here's their website. Under Multi-Media on the side panel of their website, they have a choice called "Art." They've put together a collection of images with various political slogans, and some of them are quite funny. These two are among my favorites.

EDIT: Due to my parents' fears about the location of the show and their misconceptions about the primary fanbase of this band, I'm not allowed to attend the show.

The current state of the Hardcore scene

It really sucks watching the hardcore scene these days. Exspecially being very deep in the Jersey hXc scene and growing up around bands like Deadguy(formed twenty minutes from where I live), E-Town Concrete(I see Anthony in the Tattoo parlor over in Elizabeth alot), Shattered Realm, The Banner, Burnt by the Sun and many others. Also the home of Ferret records. I mean, look at With honor, class demo/first album, then they sign to victory and turn to total shit. Eye liner bullshit bands like as i lay dying, killswitch engage, and bullet for my valentine destroy it more. It's not about broken relationships, girls pants and bullshit. Hardcore, is about a life on the fucking streets an living with respect for yourself, and your loved ones. Not about sXe and having fucking X's everywhere. You think E-Town and 25 Ta Life grew up wanting to cuddle? To this I say...nay. Also, growing up in ghetto areas of Newark and Elizabeth (it's hell over there) I always felt a connection to that. A mutual respect and understanding. Other than NY and Boston, There is not a damn thing like Jersey hXc, growing up near the stone pony and watching every band come through, really gives me alot of pride and respect for the scene. So, it kills me to see bullshit labels and bullshit bands trying to cash in on something REAL, something, that means something to alot of people.

Whatever they may be, that is what I have them listed in the metal database. I guess it really doesn't matter, especially if the music kicks ass. And guess what? This new cd of theirs is in-freakin-credible. Just listened to it twice on the road today and I nearly made my ears bleed from the volume. Tracks 3 thru 7 blew me away, as did the last one. Holy hell, these guys are gettng a good review from me, :D

I highly recommend this one. They outdid themselves.

Blindside is my fav band they are my metal idols. The band is origenaly from Sweden and their lead singer can really scream. Its not a well known band but all of the people that i know that listen to them for a first time they like it. I would definetly say it is a band everyone shud sample.
