The Serpents Chalice requires several repeated listens one of my favorite songs on Sworn to the Dark. Watain's first album Rabid Death's Curse has a really good raw sound to it.[/quote]

Oddly, that was the first song that really hit me immediately on the album. I went back and listened again afterwards and then the album sunk in a bit.

I'm not very familiar with Watain but Sworn to the Dark is damn good stuff. Good to scare the neighbors with.

Oh My God!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My ears have just been bitch slapped by the sonic assault that is Watains sworn to the dark.

This is brutal,blistering & crushing black metal. Every song is brilliant but i enjoyed the title track the most..........but its only days yet.

Has anyone else heard it & what did u think?

I think i have a new cd to add to my fave releases of 2007!!
