Maiden any day. how is this even debatable?
Bruce has always just spoke his mind, and Sharon's always been a raging cunt-rag.

it just goes to show how unproffesional she is. Ozzy can't even wipe his ass without her approval it seems. I blame Sharon for Ozzy's current condition (personally i think he needs to retire for his health. he really looks like he's in serious pain), but it doesnt seem like she'll let him.
Also coupled with her not letting Iommi, Butler, and Dio use the name Black Sabbath, is complete bullshit (hence the name change to Heaven and Hell. found it out in an interview in Guitar World)

I stand behind Bruce 100%. He spoke his mind. He is entitled to. We are all entitled to speak our mind. If the Osbournes didn't like it and were offended by his insults, they could be the bigger party and ignore it, or insult him back. That is how Bruce acted when they threw all the eggs and whatever else at the band. They ignored it, played faster, heavier and with more power. Even after their PA was shut down by that roadie on a power trip.
After the incident, they still brushed it off as if it were nothing.

The fans and the band's management should have sued Sharon.

What really pissed me off about this whole thing is that there were no legal actions taken against her and her crew. She was pretty much inciting a riot. If Maiden would have acted like her husband and run off the stage (this would have even been justified, not like a little cough and canceling a show like her husband does), I guarantee that people would have been killed. She wasn't just immature, she was negligent, careless, thoughtless and deserves some kind of punishment.

Sharon:

Acted immature by throwing eggs at a band.

Is a complete idiot.

The Osbournes is a horrible show. I'd rather watch Full House.

Bruce:

Not a big fan of his era of Iron Maiden

Not a big fan of his voice

Didn't keep his thoughts to himself. (wich pretty much started it all. I hate reality shows too but sometimes you got to keep it to yourself.)

I found this interview a while back with Bruce Dickinson on the whole Ozzfest fiasco. It's the only one I've found where Bruce speaks out.

I went to this show with my Cousins when they came thru SA it was in 85' I was in middle school.THIS was an awesome show. With Twisted Sister opening .. That was wild.

I also saw them on the somewhere in time and on their last tour . Maiden still kicks ass!!!!!

next time they come thru Bare u gotta see em !!!!!!!! Hell I'll BUY your tix !!!!!:D

Holy Fuckin Shit Bare...you've Never seen Iron Maiden....???

Sorry to hear that..Here's my list of Maiden gigs..I remember each one..the Brave world tour one at Madison Sq, Garden..gets a little fuzzy halfway through..lol..Had alot to drink before and during show..so glad they sold Beer at the show..and Mixed drinks..I think I was drinking Barcardi n cokes..lol..yummy..But they sneak up on you and fuck you up.. ;)

OK:

1.Iron Maiden..1984..World Piece tour at Nassau Collesiom in Long Island, NY ..My first real Metal gig..Fastway opened..I actually liked their 1st cd..

2. Iron Maiden..same tour..about 4 months later..selling out Madison Square Garden. w/ Quiet Riot opening...Which is when everyone liked them, before the DuBrow backlash..I loved Metal Health..still do :)

Quiet Riot had everyone on their feet the whole show..The best opening band Ive seen to date..

3. and I might have saw them on the Somewhere in Time tour..I think..it gets a little fuzzy my memory..for some reason I remember they opened with .."Caught somewhere In Time"..or maybe it was just a dream...???;)

than Summer-Brave World Tour..at the Garden...Maiden sells out <SG in record time...and are BACK!..Bruce is back with the boys..and a great show...Halford opened...than Queensryche..3 of Metal's all time Greats.. :)

That's my list....I also saw Queen in July 1882..at MSG..the last tour that they played in the USA (Hot Space tour),,They never came back to USA again-Before Freddy died..That was my first concert ever....It's hard to remember it,with all the lights, and loud music..being it was my first, and I was so young.(4 years old) ;)

I do remember Freddie Mercury..said: "I love New York City..It's so fuckin tacky" Gotta love em... That guy Lived Life..in excess..and threw one mean party from what I've read..lol..And his voice remained great till his last recordings..amazingly, gifted singer...

fucking iron maiden. but i heard that iron maiden said something bad about ozzy so i dunno. maybe sharons a bitch or iron maiden were being jerks but ive never been to ozzfest. im going this year so i hope it turns out to be cool.

From what i am understanding, sharon dissed maiden on stage, and the people rioted, and maiden then played on? is this what happened?

Ozzy notified the venue in advance that he was not going to perform... Initially, I thought this was great, because I wanted to see Iron Maiden (especially in a longer set)... BUT then the promoters of the show said "No Prince of Darkness -- Then No Show"!!

And thus... I still have not seen Maiden --- FUCK!!!

(p.s. I don't swear much... but I think that was an appropriate place for the "F" word)

I had tickets to Ozzfest... but it was one of the shows that got cancelled, due to Ozzy's ailing throat (or whatever is wrong with him)

I tried to get tickets to the show at I think it was Madison and at Wantagh (I think that's where Nicko got arrested) during their Give Me Ed tour but they were both sold out! Then I finally got tickets to see them at Hammerstein on January 27 (yes I even remember the date) which was the only show that had a few tickets left and it was cancelled!! Stupid venue double booked with a Xerox convention!. If I would have gotten tickets a little earlier I might have been able to get one for the other 3 shows. I didn't bother going to Ozzfest since I didn't want my first time seeing Maiden to only have an hour long set and for the majority of the profits to go into $harons pockets.

Ozzfest would have been nothing without them. I love the Swedish bands and all but no way could they have filled up arenas. Maiden still does it without anyone's help. Yet $haron has the nerve to not only egg them, but to also criticize them for not thanking her to be on O$$fest?!!??! Bruce may have badmouthed Osbourne but it was between him and the Osbourne family. She attacked the whole band, who were all great guys in her words, and almost caused a riot. She says what's the big deal, nobody was hurt. The only reason why everything went ok was because Maiden decided to continue not only to play, but to even extend their set. That's true showmanship. Up The Irons!!

well i think teh problem with ozzfest is that it is a strong metal for the gay nu metal bands, yet they are trying to force the amzing bands on them. If only iron maiden went on tour with.....hell id unno, but it would be awesome. i recently blew my parents speaker out with 2 minutes to midnight

I'm surprised no one has commented yet.....when I first heard this, I was so pissed off...fuck Sharon, and her fat daughter too....lol. Sorry for the curse words, and for making fun of fatty..but let's call a spade a spade, she is so spoiled it's sickening..have you ever seen the Ozzy live in Budakon DVD..theextras, are quite amusing..it must be nice, being rich and spoiled..I'll never know..:D

But I do Like Ozzy with Zakk, and the DVD sounds and looks great for an Ozzy show..I still watch it, time to time..

Truly a sad and embarrassing day in Metal, when Maiden got dissed at their last Ozzfest appearance...

Any thoughts on the topic?
