Thanks for the welcome Vodoo. I'm really impressed with the forum and the website as a whole. I'm a huge metalhead. I read all the magazines, listen to all the music, go to all the shows, and attempt to play as much of it as I can on the axe, but until now I hadn't really found a website that appeals to me. Bravo to all the chaps that make this thing work.

I ended up voting for The Trooper, but that's only because Run to the Hills and Aces High weren't on the list. Picking a favorite Maiden song though is like picking a favorite porno, and 90% of them end up with me touching myself. It's hard for me to find a Maiden song I can't masturbate... I mean listen to over and over again; there that damn good. I'm not not referring to the Blaze Bayley years of course because Maiden isn't Maiden without Dickinson. Di'Anno was good, but no one has a voice like Bruce. Dave Murray and Adrian Smith are guitar dueling madmen, and I love them both.

I went with "7th Son."

This is an exceptionally difficult poll as Maiden albums from 1983 to 1988 are virtually flawless. Actually, Iron Maiden is one of the few bands that really hasn't written more than a handfull of stinkers. Some may be uninspired, but most of their material is spot on.

I'm on a major Maiden kick today. Listened to Seventh Son, Somewhere in Time, parts of Brave New World and Dance of Death. Now I am on Piece of Mind. Powerslave comes next.

Of the Di'anno era songs Wratchild is my favorite, although Murders in the Rue Morgue is pretty sweet also.

Powerslave is without a doubt my favorite Maiden song. It just freakin' rules. I also love Seventh Son, Rime of the Ancient Mariner, The Trooper, Moonchild, 22 Acacia Avenue, Wrathchild, Murders in the Rue Morgue and Phantom of the Opera (though obviously the last three are with Di'Anno). I'm sure there are more that I'm forgetting.

As hard as this was I ended up choosing Powerslave. I really could have gone with Rime, Hallowed, Wasted Years, or # of the Beast, though. Too many good songs to choose from, that's for sure.

Favorite Iron Maiden song

I've taken my top 15 favorite Maiden songs, but only thsoe with Dickinson on vocals (just because I needed to narrow the choices down a little), now you get to choose your favorites from these choices.

I had a hard time adding anything from their latest because first of all there are so many other great songs in their back catalogue to choose from, and second I just have not had enough time to listen to them as much as I would like.
