I have to go with Killers. I love DiAnno's voice on the two early Maiden records. Powerslave would be my second pick for the solo section in 2 Minutes To Midnight, Back In The Village and The Duelists.

I find picking a fave Maiden album is like a parent trying to pick out their favorite child. you dont like to admit it, but you do it anyways.

i gotta say though for me it's a toss up between "Number of the Beast, Piece of Mind, Killers, and A Matter Of Life and Death"

I wouldnt go quite that far, personally I think Somewhere in Time has Bruce at his best.

I voted Dance of Death. That has to be my favorite Maiden album because I love the music, the artwork, the instrumentation, the vocals, everything. It has amazing songs like "Rainmaker", "No More Lies", "Montsegur", "Paschendale", and of course, the title track, "Dance of Death".

Second favorite is Killers.

Pretty much how I feel. If I had to rank them, it would porbably look something like this:
Powerslave, # of the Beast, Somewhere in Time, Brave New World, A Matter of Life and Death, Seventh Son, Piece of Mind, Iron Maiden, Killers, Fear of the Dark (although the title track is among my top 2 or 3 Maiden tunes), Dance of Death, No Prayer for the Dying. Virtual XI and X Factor are tied for last.

I've got to go with Powerslave. Very cohesive from start to finish. Rime of the Ancient Mariner is my favorite. Number of the Beast and Live After Death are next in line.

It's hard to really pick a favorite for me but i think really live after death was one of the first i remember hearing and that album just stuck with me more than the others and is what got me into there music and also somewhere in time did as well but also brave new world is one of my personel favorites since it is in a way a reunion album and was a time i thought i would never see iron maiden with bruce and adrian back in the band so that has more meaning for me then the others.

I agree that his singing is the best on this album, but I have admit I was pleasently suprised with the singing on Brave New World. The Thin Line Between Love and Hate contains mu favorite Bruce vocals. I think he does an amazing job on that song, and it blew me away the first time I heard it.

Powerslave also have "Flash of the Blade" and "The Duellists"... fucking awesome album...

Also, the production and tone on the album is amazing... and I think Bruce's singing and harmonies are possibly his best.

I think Seventh Son was my first Maiden album, and while I think it is an excellent cd I feel that Powerslave has much more strength throughout. THe title track and Rime of the Ancient Mariner are so strong they cannot be ignored.

I voted Seventh Son. It's funny because when I first got it, I thought it was terrible. It seemed too weak to me. Now I love it! Moonchild is great, and I love the middle section of Infite Dreams (help meee...help me to find my true self without seeing the future...). A great album all around.

To be honest though, I haven't listened to Powerslave very much. Maybe I would pick that as well after giving it a few more spins, I don't know. Aces High and 2 Minutes to Midnight are definitely classics.

I picked "Beast".....when I first bought that album(yes vinyl ) I couldn't believe how heavy it sounded..it was such a dangerous album and band at the time..the album cover is one of the best Metal covers of all time IMO . The vocal of Bruce totally killed..This was one of the albums that made me a "Rivet head, HeadBanger, Hell Rats"...And that drum sound on The Prisoner..sounded like Clive Burr was playing in your bedroom..Up The Irons!

yeah... I'm still not used to Bruce singing any of the DiAnno songs... although Bruce sings the shit out of "Sign Of The Cross", which is a "Blaze" era song off of Virtual XI... Great tune.

I have to say powerslave .. that whole album engulfed me when i 1st heard it .. but i gotta admit i love the Live after death cd most .. it's my favorite 1.. i think cuz i went to see em back then and they really kicked ass.. 1 of my favorite shows.

It was hard to pick, but I decided to choose Dance Of Death. The title track is one of my favorite Maiden songs and the solos are eargasmic. But I love all Maiden, doesn't matter to me if it was the Bruce, DiAnno, Or Blaze stuff. Remember Tomorrow, Iron Maiden, Genghis Khan, Hallowed Be Thy Name, Rime Of The Ancient Mariner, 7th Son Of The 7th Son, Wasted Years, Fear Of The Dark, Sign Of The Cross, When Two Worlds Collide, Brave new World and soooo many others can make any Maiden album one of their best.

Piece of Mind is a good album but it is actually low on the list for me when it comes to Maiden. I just don't understand why some people find it so amazing. Yes, it has good songs (The Trooper, Flight of Icarus) but none can compare to Rime of the Ancient Mariner or Hallowed be Thy Name. Hell, I think Brave New World is a better album. I love Ghost of Navigator, The Thin Line Between Love and Hate and The Mercenary.[/quote]

I don't have a comment on the 'Piece of Mind' comment... but I do agree that 'Brave New World' is a fantastic album. I know people that absolutely hate that album... but I think it is a classic. "Ghost of the Navigator" and "Dream of Mirrors" are great songs.

Wasted Years is my favorite off that cd. But Caught Somewhere in Time and Stranger in a Strange Land are fantastic as well. Then there is # of the Beast, with one of the best metal songs of all time, and I don't mean the title track. I'm talking about Hallowed be thy Name. Perhaps my favorite Maiden song. Also love The Prisoner.

This was a no-brainer for me. I love every song on Powerslave. The title track and Rime of the Ancient Mariner are som freaking powerful. Of course, Aces High and 2 Minutes to Midnight are classics. But Somewhere in Time is a close second, with # of the Beast coming in 3rd. That is a tough choice, though, because Maiden has classic songs on all albums.
