On Celtic Frost's myspace page www.myspace.com/celticfrost  it is reported that Thomas Fischer has left Celtic Frost & un like other times he will not return.................for me this is extremely sad,the Frost played in Australia last year & it was the most dark & evil concert i have ever experienced........no mention of why he left other than issues that could not be recified........Celtic Frost have not stopped touring since Monothesist was released so im not suprised if they got on each others nerves.........they still had concerts scheduled 4 this year.

I was sad, but I'm not too worried.
Tom is very eccentric, and very emotional. He probably had a fallout with Martin, and felt drained out creatively. Things could change

I dont think Thomas will return to Celtic Froat again as the damage has been done but i wouldnt be suprised if Martin Ain takes over as vocalist as he did such a grand job on i am dying god........plus he is a great songwriter.

Meh.  Celtic Frost or Tom Warrior for that fact hasn't done anything truly decent since To Mega Therion.  I'm being serious too.  And the last year of cryptic and bellyaching Blabbermouth posts coming from Warrior were just too much.  The man became a joke to me.

I've tried Celtic Frost on many occasions and while I can understand why they appeal to some they just didn't do much for me. I'm OK without that band.

I think the band was brilliant, through and through.
Cold Lake may not be one of the best releases out there, but it's certainly nowhere near as bad as people make it out to be.

Aside from that one album, each album sounded significantly different than the other, but was always jaw droppingly extraordinary nonetheless. They were never about a particular sound. It was always about a unity between all their musical influences and their internal feelings, regardless of how well it would be accepted in the metal scene.
They're one of my top 10 bands

Not a huge fan...Obituary does a great version of Circle of the Tyrants though...
