Gothic metal gets little love here, hence no specific forum. I'm not a huge fan, but then again I am not all that familiar with too many bands.

| Yeah, I have to agree with voodoo. Aside from HIM and Theateres des Vampires (sp?), this is a sub-genre I am not that familiar with. i do enjoy a sprinkling of gothic elements in other genres, though. Particularly in my doom metal, à la Virgin Black, Swallow the Sun, My Dying Bride, etc.

For the most part, this is one of those genres that you have to really dig deep to find the good bands. All the ones that get the most attention, like Lacuna Coil and Theatre des Vampires, are either very mediocre or are just plain awful.
Insanity takes its toll, so please, have exact change.
