She passed away late last night, She was 92 I think and was fading fast and in a lot of pain. Apparently she was needing morphine quite frequently. I don't have all the details yet. She was the only grandparent I ever knew. My fathers dad died back in the 50's and both of my mom's parents died in the late 60's.

Sorry to hear that. I'm thankful that I was able to know all my grandparents, and 3 of my great grandparents. My paternal great-grandfather died about 1974 at 89(when I was 11), and my paternal grandfather died in 1979. My maternal grandfather in early 1976, and my grandmother in March 1994. My maternal great garndmother died at 85 in April 1985 and step-great grandfather in November 2000 at 96. My paternal grandmother is still alive and kicking though at 94- she's been backstage with Lynyrd Skynyrd in fact; her neice, my distant cousin, is married to the drummer.
