I'm filling out a job application and there's a section that has 6 puzzles. I figured out 3 of them. Here are the 3 I'm stumped on... Maybe someone can help me.

Fill in the blank:

J, F, M, A, ___, J, J...
(not sure if this is even a factor, but if a=1, b=2, etc. then this is how it would look)
(10, 6, 13, 1, ___, 10, 10...)

M, V, E, M, ___, S, U...
(13, 22, 5, 13, ___, 19, 21...)

--------------------------

A hardware store owner has a unique method for determining the price of his products. Based on the following prices, what is the price of the hammer?

Screwdriver = $30
Bolts = $14
Nails = $13
Plywood = $19

Hammer = ?

I figured them out on my own eventually.

In case anyone cares, the first letter sequence is months, so M for May. The second letter sequence is planets, so J for Jupiter. The other sequence questions I did figure out were numbers, so I was thinking along the wrong lines trying to count letters in between for a pattern.

For the hammer question, the formula is that consonants in the item name are worth $3 and vowels are $2, so I got $16 for the hammer.

Are you applying for a job as a riddle-writer? That's quite a curious set of questions, quite interesting too.. mind if I ask what the job actually is?
