| What release or releases do u consider to be a classic? For me it is Operation Mindcrime by Queensryche, rough cutts self titled debut & Shout at the devil by Motley Crue.

The metal staples, of course: Metallica's first 4 Megadeth - Rust in Peace Slayer - Reign in Blood Black Sabbath - ParanoidI'd also add: Meshuggah - Destroy, Erase, Improve Atheist - Unquestionable Presence Testament - The Legacy Black Sabbath - Masters of Reality Black Sabbath - Vol. 4 Down - NOLA Alice in Chains - Dirt Hypocrisy and Morbid Angel also have a few albums each that I'd rank pretty damn high, but I have a hard time picking which I'd consider absolute classics...

Excellent suggestions!
I nominate The Number of the Beast and Powerslave, Don't Break the Oath, Blizzard of Oz (I know I'll catch shit from Jeremy for that one, but I made up for it by voting for Mercyful Fate), and one that might catch everyone by surprise - Hall of the Mountain King by Savatage.

The godliness (or is it ungodliness?) that is Mercyful Fate, more than makes up for the shittiness that is Ozzy Osbourne

| AC/DC - Back in Black Dream Theater - Images and Words Exodus - Bonded By Blood Overkill - Overkill Fates Warning - Awaken the Guardian G'n'R - Appetite for Destruction Opeth - Blackwater Park The Exodus and Overkill selections are just guesses at this point because I am not as familiar with the entire catalog's, so there could be others I missed.
